How Much Will It
Cost?
The price of your memorial is determined by three major factors:
-
Size
Size of the memorial is a main
factor in the cost of production. It stands to reason that the
larger the monument, the more time it takes to manufacture. The
cost increases with more weight, thickness, and surface area of
granite that has to be cut, polished, and contoured.
-
Color
Color is another important factor in the cost of your monument.
Granite us quarried all over the world and throughout the United
States. Just like precious stones, the availability of certain
colors of granite affects the cost. more common or available
colors are less expensive, whereas imported or less available
colors are more expensive. Also, certain colors of granite are
harder than others, requiring more time for cutting, shaping and
polishing.
-
Finish
Finish means the amount of surface of your monument that is
polished or specially contoured. polishing and/or unusual add to
the cost of a monument because of the man-hours and materials
required to polish granite and the extra sawing or hand cutting
required to create a special shape. Most surfaces that are left a
natural rock finish are less expensive.
By varying any of
these factors, we can help you select a monument that best suits
your family needs and your budget. |
